I’ve Never Raced With Race Day XC. What Do I Need and How Much Does It Cost?
You’ll need a Race Day XC Membership if you plan to race more than one event per year. Season memberships can be purchased here: https://www.RaceDayXC.com/Membership
If you’re only racing a single event in 2026, you do not need a membership.
Once you have your membership, pre-registering online costs $75 for adults, $50 for youth 12–18, $45 for youth 4–11, and push bike is free thanks to our partner Jannetty Racing. All classes are $10 more if you register on-site. Anyone racing a second class may do so for free.
There is a $20 parking fee per carload when you arrive (cash or card accepted). This fee covers the entire weekend.

What Class Should I Race In?
It’s your responsibility to enter the correct class based on your speed and experience. If you’ve raced with another off-road series, you must race in the matching skill level. For example, Cat 1 enduro riders must race Expert at Race Day XC.
- Cat 1 = Expert
- Cat 2 = Sport
- Cat 3 = Novice
If you’ve never raced before, we recommend starting in the Novice class.

Can I Show Up And Register The Day of the Event?
Absolutely. You can register with cash, check, or credit card at the registration trailer. That said, we strongly recommend pre-registering online — it helps us plan a smoother event and saves you $10 per class.
Can I Race Two Classes at Race Day XC Events?
Yes. Second classes are free. Just register for your second class in person at the registration trailer when you check in.
Can I Self-Promote To a Faster Class?

What Is A Dropped Or Throw-Away Race?
Every racer gets one throw-away result per season. Your lowest score — including a DNS or DNF — is automatically dropped from the final championship standings.
Does Race Day XC Have Staging Or Call-Ups?
Yes. We stage riders about 15 minutes before every heat. First round staging is based on registration order. All following rounds are based on current series standings.
Do I Have To Race Every Event, Or Can I Do Just One?
You can race as many or as few events as you want. There is no minimum.
How Many Events Do I Need To Be Part of The Championship?
There is no minimum. Every event is a points-paying round and counts toward the championship.
Are All Classes Eligible For The Championship?
Yes, every class has its own championship standings.
If I Get Promoted Mid-Season, Do My Points Carry Over?
No RDXC championship points do not carry over into different classes. However, riders who are more than halfway through a series of 8 races may request a one-time waiver of mandatory upgrade with approval from the Race Day XC. For 2026 the half way point is defined as 4 championship events. For example, if a rider is promoted after the promotional points acquired from his or her 3rd championship event, they must promote to the higher class for the remainder of the season. If they are promoted after the promotional points acquired from his or her 4th championship event or any event after that, they may choose to remain in the same class all season and hold off on promoting until the following year.
How Does The Promotional Point System Work?
Promotional points never expire and are earned in each class. The scale is:
Promotional Point Formula:
- 5th = 1 Point
- 4th = 2 Points
- 3rd = 3 Points
- 2nd = 4 Points
- 1st = 5 Points
Once you reach 20 promotional points, you must move up to the next class. Promo points will then start fresh
Top 15 overall Pro Men and top 10 overall Pro Women at the end of the season earn a guaranteed spot in the Pro class the following year.
